A former member of the Red Army Faction (RAF), Daniela Klette, was apprehended yesterday evening in Berlin at the age of 65, more than 30 years after the fact.
According to the German Bild-Zeitung, based on security sources, the Verden Public Prosecutor’s Office and the State Criminal Police Office of Lower Saxony have been investigating the 55-year-old former RAF member, Burkhard Garweg, 69 years old, Ernst-Volker Staub, and Daniela Marie, 65, in connection with Luise Klette for over 30 years. Klette was captured yesterday evening in Kreuzberg, Berlin.
The Verden Regional Court issued an arrest warrant for Klette due to several serious robberies committed between 1999 and 2016, including in Bochum-Wattenscheid, Essen, Wolfsburg, Cremlingen, and Stuhr.
Klette belonged to the third generation of the RAF, which is also believed to be responsible for the bombing of the Weiterstadt prison in Hessen.
