On Saturday, there was an explosion outside the office of the Attorney General of the southern U.S. state of Alabama, Steve Marshall. It was determined that there were no injuries or fatalities in the incident.
In his statement, Marshall added the following remarks:
“In the early hours of Saturday, February 24, a bomb was detonated outside the Alabama Attorney General’s building in Montgomery. Fortunately, no workers or employees were injured in the explosion. Alabama law enforcement agencies will conduct the investigations, and we urge anyone with information to contact them immediately.”
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, which contacted CNN for information on the investigations, did not comment on the matter.

The Alabama Supreme Court had ruled that frozen embryos are considered children and that a person can be held liable for the accidental destruction of these embryos.
On Friday, one day before the incident, Marshall announced that his office did not intend to use the recent decision of the Alabama Supreme Court as a basis for the criminal prosecution of families or providers of in vitro fertilization.
