In Bursa, Emirhan T., who was thrown out of the house by his father Muhlis T. with whom he had a quarrel, took his brother Vedat T. hostage with a knife. After being persuaded for an hour, the suspect dropped the knife from his hand, surrendered, and left his brother behind. The incident took place around 11:30 p.m. in the Yıldırım district, Yavuz Selim neighborhood, 8th Sönmez Street. An argument broke out for unknown reasons between Emirhan T. and his father Muhlis T., who was visiting the house. Emirhan T. took his brother Vedat T. hostage with a knife from his pocket and went out onto the street. Upon notification from bystanders witnessing the situation, police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. After an hour of persuasion by the police, Emirhan T. dropped the knife from his hand and surrendered. While Vedat T. was taken to the hospital as a precaution, Emirhan T. was taken into custody. The police launched an investigation into the incident (DHA).
