Die Zahl der Todesfälle aufgrund der Autopilot-Funktion von Tesla in den USA wurde bekannt gegeben
US officials have recently announced the number of fatal accidents involving the autopilot function of Tesla cars sold in Turkey. In a statement, the US Federal Transportation Agency, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), shared the results of a three-year study. The study conducted by the NHTSA, which examined accidents involving vehicles with autopilot over three years, revealed that Tesla vehicles have been involved in at least 13 fatal accidents since August 2021 when autopilot was used. Authorities also emphasized that Tesla vehicles in autopilot mode are involved in many more accidents resulting in serious injuries. The statement read: „Predictable driver misuse clearly has impacts.“ It was also mentioned that „Tesla’s poor driver assistance system is not suitable for the permissive operating capabilities of the autopilot“ and also „points to a critical security gap.“ Evidence was also provided as to why.
