A United Airlines Boeing aircraft had to make an emergency landing in Texas after flames broke out from one of its engines.
The aircraft returned to George H. Bush Intercontinental Houston Airport just a few minutes after takeoff. Passenger taking photos from the plane, Dorian D. Cerda, stated that the incident occurred only 15 minutes into its two-hour flight to Fort Myers, Florida.
In a statement from United Airlines, “Flight 1118 returned to Houston shortly after takeoff due to an engine failure. The flight was completed safely and passengers disembarked normally. “We arranged for a new aircraft to take our passengers to their destination.”It was stated.
The cause of the engine fire on the United Airlines aircraft has not yet been disclosed, and it is reported to be under investigation by the Federal Aviation Administration.
