In Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, a fire broke out in a restaurant on the first floor of a building, resulting in the death of 43 people. Health Minister Samanta Lal Sen announced that 43 people died and many were injured in the fire that occurred in a six-story building in Dhaka. Sen mentioned that the fire started in the building on Bailey Road. The Minister stated that the fire department was continuing its rescue efforts and treating the injured. Firefighters determined that the fire originated in a restaurant on the first floor of the building, trapping many people in the fire. Rescue teams reported saving 75 people from the building, 42 of whom were unconscious.
