Street artist of the artwork that appeared overnight on the side of a building near Finsbury Park in London BanksyIt is suspected to be related.
The piece shows a green mass painted on the back of a felled mature tree to make it look like leaves, alongside a stencil of a person holding a pressure hose.
Producer of the show The Banksy Story on BBC Radio 4 James Peak, it is certain that the work belongs to Banksy. „But as always with Banksy – on his website“You never know for sure until you confess it through publication,” he said.
The artist officially approves his work by posting photos on his website and social media, but has not made such a move towards the work near Finsbury Park.
However, documentary filmmaker Peak stated that the artwork that appeared on Hornsey Road in London carries Banksy’s characteristics and that the message is very clear, adding: „Nature is struggling, and it is in our hands to help it grow back.“
He added that the wall painting was likely created using a pressure hose or a fire extinguisher to quickly spray the „leaves“ onto the wall behind the tree.
The color of the paint used also matches the color used by Islington Council for signs in the area; Peak said this shows Banksy’s attention to detail.
