Çetin Ermiş (71) was killed in an armed attack organized by one or more unknown individuals outside the transfer center where rail transportation is carried out in Izmir, and two people were injured. The incident took place around 2:30 p.m. at the Halkapınar transfer center in the Konak district. One or more unknown individuals opened fire with a weapon outside the interchange center where rail transport is conducted. Struck by bullets, Çetin Ermiş and two other individuals fell to the ground covered in blood. Upon notification, groups were dispatched to the area. The injured were taken to the hospital by an ambulance. Ermiş, who was severely injured in the back, leg, and groin area, could not be saved. An investigation into the incident has been launched. T24
