Ellen Mercer, 24 years old from England, passed away in the hospital due to a „sudden and unexpected cardiac arrest.“

Health authorities identified „neurological warning signs“ and tests revealed that nitrous oxide, the preferred party drug among teenagers, causes significant circulatory and respiratory issues.

The autopsy results indicated that the underlying cause of death was „long-term complications“ associated with gas usage.

During the investigation, Berkshire Judge Hannah Godfrey stated, „Mercer had a long history of abusive nitrous oxide consumption. We allege he became addicted.“

Friends and family described Mercer as „a truly lovable and gentle soul“ who was „missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him.“

His 54-year-old mother, Sharon Cook, expressed online, „I miss you so much, my dear daughter. I hope my father and grandmother are taking good care of you. I wasn’t ready for you to leave me.“
