Mansur Yavaş, the mayor of the metropolitan region of Ankara and the CHP party candidate, addressed the claims made by AKP-ABB chief candidate Turgut Altınok, stating that he owns 600 houses in Antalya. Yavaş stated, „He cannot have forgotten about the 600 apartments. He disclosed his asset declaration, and these 600 apartments do not exist. This means that he wanted to hide it or lied to the public. A politician cannot lie. If it turns out that he has lied, he must definitely take the necessary steps. Because one quickly thinks: ‚What is he not revealing? Is there something he is hiding?'“ Yavaş answered questions from the press regarding the allegations made by AKP mayoral candidate for Ankara Büyükşehir, Turgut Altınok, after his visit to the Chamber of Pharmacists as follows: „600 apartments should not be forgotten, I think he wanted to hide it.“ Yavaş emphasized, „He cannot have forgotten about the 600 apartments. He disclosed his asset declaration, and these 600 apartments do not exist. This means he wanted to hide it or lied to the public. A politician cannot lie. If it turns out that he lied, he must take the necessary steps. Because the first thing that comes to my mind is: What else has he not disclosed? I leave that to the public’s judgment. These 600 apartments should not be forgotten. If something is concealed from the public, suspicion arises. I want him to do what is necessary. He wanted to hide it, I think. There is no other meaning, as 600 apartments cannot be forgotten. ‚Inherited from my father.‘ Yes, it may have been inherited from his father, but why didn’t you explain that? These need to be explained. Whatever is left from the father or whatever income is generated, it must be explained through bank accounts or clarified. If you do not explain it fully, all sorts of things will come to mind. ‚I leave it to the public’s judgment.'“ The table includes links about asset declarations made by Tunç Soyer and Mansur Yavaş, and questions if Murat Kurum will declare his assets. Comments about Turgut Altınok’s asset declaration in social media are also mentioned, stating that Ankara was inherited from his father and his partnership with Sinan Aygün, the owner of the illegal TOGO Towers, which the Ankara municipality has decided to demolish.
